Floral City Kiwanis meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 108 Washington Street, in Monroe. We serve beverages and a dessert, no meal. Social hour and refreshments start at 6:30 PM and the regular meeting starts at 7 PM
Floral City Kiwanis carries out 10 to 12 service projects every year. Our major projects include Monroe County Special Olympics (which we chair), Meals for the Homeless, and service to Holiday Camp, a day camp for physically and mentally challenged youth and adults.
To support these projects, Floral City Kiwanis is involved in several fund raisers throughout the year. These include the annual October Peanut Sale, our Christmas Poinsettia sale, and our fall bulb sale.
While not a large club, Floral City Kiwanis has a diverse membership that is very active. Our members include several couples who have picked Kiwanis as a way they can provide service to the community together. The only requirement for membership in our club is a desire to provide service to the community.
